I love street style, it’s everyone’s opportunity to express themselves, to take what is on the runway, magazines, TV shows and make it their own. Of course, style inspiration can come from a lot of other sources, like a designer’s fashion archives, vintage photos, art, music, and definitely your favorite fashion blogs! (Hopefully Little Glam Kiss is one of yours).

So with that on mind, I put together this look inspired by the style of the TV show Gossip Girl. I have to admit I don’t follow the series like most fashionistas do, but when it comes to the fashion I am huge fan!

Hence this cute, preppy look, composed by the “it” preppy piece: the tartan pleated skirt. This one is from Burberry and I just love it because it has the signature pattern but in a fun, different color (to change a bit). Paired with a jeweled sweater from Armani Exchange and oh so sexy over the knees from Sam Edelman.

I really enjoyed styling and wearing this outfit, I hope you like it and it serves you as inspiration for your own street style looks!!

Me encanta el street style, es la manera perfecta de expresarte, tomando en cuenta lo que está en las pasarelas, las revistas, la televisión y hacerlo parte de tu estilo personal. Claro que la inspiración de moda puede venir de muchos otros lados, como la línea de diseño de algún diseñador de moda, fotos vintage, arte, música, y por supuesto tus blogs de moda favoritos! (Espero que Little Glam Kiss sea uno de los suyos).

Así que con eso en mente, armé este look inspirado en el estilo de la serie de televisión Gossip Girl. Tengo que admitir que no sigo la serie religiosamente como la mayoría de las fashionistas, pero cuando se trata de la moda y el estilo de las protagonistas de la serie, soy mega fan!

Este outfit sigue la línea del estilo preppy, compuesto por la pieza preppy por excelencia: la falda tartán de tablones. Ésta es de Burberry y me encanta porque tiene el pattern tradicional de la marca pero en un color diferente, más joven y trendy (para cambiar un poco). Junto con un suéter de Armani Exchange y las siempre sexy “over the knees” de San Edelman.

Me divertí muchísimo creando y usando este outfit, espero que les guste y les sirva de inspiración para sus looks street style!!
